A woman
secretly slips a handwritten note to a veterinarian…the workers read it and
realize something is terribly wrong.
A Florida
woman brings her dog to the vet for a healthy check. After checking in, she ask
her boyfriend to look after the dog and then she goes out of sight.
Two minutes
later, the woman comes back into the lobby and secretly slips a note of the vet
with her shaking hands. Then she joins her boyfriend again. And the couple are
asked to wait in a separate room.
When the
workers read the note, they realized the danger and act immediately. “Call the
cops my boyfriend is threatening me, he has a gun please don’t let him know”.
The workers
at Deland animal hospital quietly alert the authorities… and all they can do is
to wait.
They have no
idea what this woman has been through. But her boyfriend is clearly abusive and
dangerous.
The woman is
alone with her boyfriend in a room and it’s a tense wait before the cops show
up.
Finally, after
15 minutes five officers were arrived. They go into the room and arrest the
boyfriend. They seize his gun and march him out in handcuff the rescue brings
an end to 48 hellish hours for her.
As soon as
her boyfriend has left the room the woman burst into tears. She starts talking
to the officers and shows them her bruised body. She had allegedly been held
captive in her home for two days while being beaten and threatened at gun
point. Her only way to escape the nightmare was to convince him to take her dog
to the vet, even though she was threatened with death, she managed to stay calm
and execute her plan.
Thankfully,
her desperate call for help worked. The woman was taken to hospital and treated
for a head wound, a black eye and bruising.
Her boyfriend
was charged with domestic violence, aggravated assault with a firearm, and
false imprisonment.
